The unique competition Touring was created by BMW M Motorsport using the technical foundation of the M4 GT3 EVO. Schubert Motorsport entered the #81 in the experimental SPX category at the 2026 Nürburgring 24 Hours.
Black, white, yellow and red areas divide the design diagonally, while the traditional BMW M colors cross the upper section. Sponsor-style graphics and the angled #81 plate recreate the layered appearance of the race car.
A fourth-place finish overall and SPX class victory made the M3 Touring 24H one of the biggest surprises of the event—a result few expected from a project that began as an unconventional idea.
